Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager Hobart

We're a Hobart-based software development and consulting firm working with established clients to deliver high-quality digital solutions. We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager ready to step up into a leadership role, managing delivery and leading a small team of developers and business analysts. This is a hands-on consulting role with real influence over clients, projects, and how we deliver our work. What You'll Do
- Manage and grow strong relationships with our existing clients
- Lead software delivery projects end-to-end (discovery through delivery)
- Elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Manage scope, timelines, risks, and delivery outcomes
- Lead and mentor a small team of developers and business analysts
- Act as the key bridge between clients and technical teams
- Contribute to improving our delivery and consulting practices What We're Looking For
- Senior-level experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager in a software development or consulting workplace
- Minimum of 9+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager
- Demonstrated experience in both Business Analysis and Project Management disciplines is required
- Robust client-facing skills with a consulting mindset
- Well-developed business analysis capability (requirements, process modelling, solution design)
- Proven experience leading project teams delivering software solutions
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Leadership experience (or readiness to step into a people leadership role) Nice to Have
- Consulting experience across multiple clients or industries including government
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
