The Role We are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking individual to join our Supply Chain team as a Purchasing Assistant. In this role, you will support the purchasing and planning functions within a dynamic, high-performing manufacturing environment. You’ll work closely with the Purchasing Supervisor and broader supply chain team to ensure the smooth flow of materials, accurate purchasing administration, and solid supplier coordination. - Create and manage purchase orders in Infor VISUAL ERP
- Run and distribute open order reports, escalating as needed
- Monitor material shortages (HOTLIST) and respond proactively
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, breakages, faults, and related queries
- Submit new part setup requests with accurate and complete information
- Support the purchasing team with reporting, administration, and general coordination tasks
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to process improvements What You Bring
- Experience in purchasing, supply chain, administration, or a related area (all levels considered)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data and documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Interest or experience in manufacturing, industrial, or trade environments is beneficial
- ERP experience is an advantage but not essential — training will be provided What We Offer
