Cook/Chef (Coomera)

Position Available: Chef / Cook Location: Pause Button Cafe, Coomera QLD Employment Type: Casual Pause Button Cafe is looking for a reliable and capable Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team. We are looking for someone who understands what it means to work in a professional kitchen, has basic food knowledge, and can take responsibility for their own section during prep and service. This role is suitable for someone who is hands-on, organised, willing to learn and able to work efficiently in a busy cafe environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook cafe-style breakfast and brunch dishes Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion control Complete prep tasks properly and on time Follow recipes, procedures and kitchen standards Keep your section clean, organised and ready for service Work efficiently during busy periods Communicate clearly with the team Assist with stock rotation, cleaning and basic food safety duties Support the kitchen team where needed We are looking for someone who: Has previous cafe, brunch or kitchen experience Understands basic food preparation and cooking methods Knows how to work clean, rapid and safely Can multitask during service Can follow instructions and complete tasks properly Has basic food knowledge and common sense in the kitchen Can organise their own prep and small tasks without being constantly reminded Understands the importance of timing, teamwork and consistency Takes pride in their work and wants to improve Basic skills we expect: Understand basic knife skills and food handling Know how to read and follow a recipe Understand food safety, labelling and stock rotation Be able to work under pressure without panicking Be able to manage more than one task at the same time Be reliable, punctual and ready to work when your shift starts What we offer: Stable working environment Supportive kitchen team Opportunity to learn and grow Clear systems and recipes Pay based on experience and ability A valuable opportunity for someone who wants to build their skills in a cafe kitchen To apply, please send your resume to: Or message us directly to arrange an interview.
