Position Available: Sous Chef Location: Pause Button Cafe, Coomera QLD Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time negotiable Pause Button Cafe is looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Sous Chef to join our growing team. We are a busy cafe focused on quality food, consistency, teamwork and a positive kitchen culture. We are looking for someone who can support Kitchen with daily kitchen operations, prep, service, food quality control and team training. Key Responsibilities: Assist with daily kitchen operations, including breakfast, brunch, prep and service Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion control Assist with prep lists, stock control, ordering and ingredient management Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and hygiene Support and train junior chefs, cooks and kitchen hands Stay calm and organised during busy service periods Work with the owner and kitchen team to improve menu items, systems and kitchen procedures We are looking for someone who: Has experience in a cafe, brunch or restaurant kitchen Has basic leadership skills and can support a small kitchen team Is reliable, punctual and looking for a stable role Can work independently and as part of a team Has passion for food and attention to detail Can work well in a fast-paced cafe environment Has good communication skills and is open to feedback What we offer: Stable working setting Supportive and friendly team Opportunity to be involved in menu development and kitchen systems Pay negotiable depending on experience A great opportunity for someone looking to grow in a cafe kitchen environment To apply, please send your resume to: Or message us directly to arrange an interview.
