Disability Support Worker (Hope Valley)

Pathway Links Support Services is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes. This is a casual position offering flexible hours to suit your lifestyle.

**Important**: Availability for passive sleepover and overnight shifts is required as part of a rotating roster.

**About the Role**

As a Disability Support Worker, you will support participants with complex and multiple disabilities to live as independently as possible while enhancing their quality of life.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide personal care (e.g. showering, dressing, grooming)
- Deliver high-intensity supports in line with participant care plans
- Assist with daily living tasks including meal preparation, cleaning, and errands
- Support participants to attend appointments, social outings, and community activities
- Encourage engagement in meaningful activities to promote wellbeing and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Work collaboratively with the broader support team to implement individualised support plans

**Essential Requirements**
- Availability for passive sleepover and active overnight shifts
- Demonstrated experience providing high-intensity supports, including PEG feeding, bowel care, and other complex health-related supports
- Experience working within a SIL (Supported Independent Living) environment
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent), or currently working towards
- Strong understanding of person-centred practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities
