· Work location can be Sydney or Melbourne (or elsewhere in Australia) Our client, the National Association of Steel-framed Housing (NASH) is looking for a talented Executive Director. Role Overview As the Executive Director, you will be the strategic and operational leader of NASH, responsible for driving membership growth, industry advocacy, financial sustainability, and operational excellence. The Executive Director will play a key role in transforming NASH into a recognised industry leader, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering strong stakeholder engagement and relationships with government, industry, and community sectors. Your key role responsibilities
· Lead the implementation of NASH’s strategic business plan aligned with industry needs; delivering plan initiatives that promotes membership growth and retention.
· Secure and grow ongoing revenue streams through membership, grants, sponsorships, and industry partnerships.
· Oversee day-to-day operations, projects, and financial management, ensuring operational efficiency and business sustainability is maintained.
· Lead government advocacy, industry representation, and stakeholder engagement, including participation in standards committees and forums.
· Promote industry standards and technical publications, oversee educational and training programs, and facilitate information transfer.
· Manage policies, compliance, and legal responsibilities related to governance and operational standards.
· Develop and enhance communication strategies using digital platforms and industry channels to raise awareness and engagement To be successful in his role you will ideally have:
· Proven senior management or executive leadership experience, within the light gauge steel (LGS) frame industry, or associated construction sectors.
· Deep understanding and knowledge of the LGS frame industry and its strategic importance; a passion for bringing the NASH brand to life through robust communication, culture, and member engagement.
· A degree in Engineering, Construction, Business Management or a related field is preferred but not essential.
· An ability to articulate and embody the organisation’s vision, values, and industry positioning to internal and external audiences.
· Experience in member engagement, advocacy, stakeholder management, and organisational growth.
· Expertise in financial management, governance, and legal responsibilities.
· An experienced leader with strong communication, decision-making, and networking skills.
· Proven success in driving operational growth, innovation, and industry influence. This is a work-from-home, part-time position (3 days per week). It offers a competitive remuneration package and flexible work environment. The position is ideally based in Sydney or Melbourne, however suitable candidates from other locations within Australia will be considered.
