Reporting directly to the Residential Manager at McQuoin Park Waitara, you will maintaining a physically protected, well maintained and secure home environment for our residents. Within this role you’ll be responsible for:

Executing the preventative maintenance program throughout the residential aged care home

Performing reactive repairs on items within the home as the need arises

Managing the coordination of external maintenance contractors as required

Working in a secure manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly

Trade certificate or Cert IV in Maintenance/Building services

Solid communication skills and a positive attitude

Hands-on experience with building maintenance, handyman or building services role

Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families

Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents

Great IT skills
