Our Maintenance team plays an important role in keeping the environment safe, tidy and running smoothly for everyone. About The Role We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Officer who enjoys practical work and takes pride in keeping things in good order. You don’t need to be a fully qualified tradie. What matters most is that you’re handy, proactive, friendly and enjoy helping people. This is a full-time weekday role — no weekends — offering steady work, great work–life balance and the opportunity to be part of a supportive team that genuinely cares. What You’ll Be Doing
- Completing general maintenance and repairs around the site
- Fixing minor issues in resident rooms and shared areas
- Keeping buildings, gardens and common areas safe and tidy
- Responding to maintenance requests in a timely and respectful way
- Working safely and following WHS guidelines
- Supporting nearby Uniting sites occasionally (within 15 minutes, using a company vehicle) What We’re Looking For
- Experience in maintenance, facilities or general handyperson work
- Someone practical and solutions-focused
- A friendly, approachable manner — great customer service is essential
- Comfortable chatting with residents and working as part of a team
- Reliable, motivated and takes pride in their work
- Basic computer skills
- A current NSW Driver’s Licence
