About the Role
You will have the prospect to work with one of the largest companies in Australia based in the Sydney CBD/Melbourne. You will be challenged to take responsibility for analysing a master data set and troubleshooting data issues. To do well in this role you need a very fine eye for detail, experience as a software engineer in a data space, and deep understanding of popular data analysis tools and databases. The role will also require extensive knowledge and experience in ETL development using Informatica.
Job Description
Expertise in SQL skills to profile the data.
Analyse, profile, and systematically present the data for business and management team understanding.
ETL development and data migration tasks.
Interpreting the functional aspect of data and reporting aspect of data.
Present the data to business and the consumers of the data which qualifies the scope and highlights gaps/issues on data from source.
Identify patterns and trends in data sets.
Work alongside teams within the business, solution team, or technical team to establish business needs.
Document the data mapping rules for migration.
Skills & Experience
1+ years of experience in data analysis & development (junior role).
3+ years of experience in data analysis & development (mid role).
Solid consulting ability across SSIS, SSRS, and expert in data profiling/analysis, SQL, and data deduplication/cleansing processes.
Robust problem‑solving skills – ability to analyze and critically evaluate gathered information to resolve conflicts, anticipate issues and make priority decisions.
Client‑facing capacity with the interpersonal and communication skills to manage and influence key relationships with stakeholders.
Experience in health cover and insurance domain desirable, not mandatory.
Qualifications
Relevant degree in IT industry mandatory.
Certification in relevant technologies.

Junior role: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
Mid role: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
