FULL TIME Chef Required Full time 38 hours per week-$76,000 – $86,000 per year plus Super JAMIE'S CAFE AND KITCHEN PTY LTD trading as Jamies Kitchen is looking for a Full Time qualified chef to join our team. - Plan and prepare menus based on customer needs and seasonal ingredients.
- Estimate food supply needs and kitchen labour requirements, and place orders with suppliers when required.
- Check the quality, taste, and presentation of dishes before serving.
- Discuss food preparation methods and kitchen operations with managers and other staff.
- Show and guide kitchen staff on cooking methods and food preparation techniques.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of meals in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Ensure food hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Assist with selecting, training, and supervising kitchen staff when required.
- Store, freeze, and preserve food items correctly to maintain freshness and quality. Skills:
- One year work experience as a Chef
- Certificate IV in cookery is required
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
- Leadership skills
- Excellent time management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
