Junior Hospitality and Environmental Services Assistant
- Kaniva APPLICATIONS CLOSE 5 JUNE 2026 We are seeking a Junior Hospitality and Environmental Services Assistant to work in a part time (12 hours/fortnight) capacity based at Kaniva. About the Role
- The Junior Assistant helps with the preparation and service of meals.
- They ensure that supplies and equipment are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition in accordance with the Department of Human Services Standards and Infection Control Guidelines. Key Selection Criteria Essential
- Have effective communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work without active supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, support employees, patients, management and the community.
- Have the ability to prioritise and be multi‑skilled.
- Have previous experience using computer software packages including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other software packages as necessary. Desirable
- Have an understanding of Health Regulations, Victorian Food Safety Standards and Cleaning Standards.
- Have knowledge of Infection Control Health Regulations. Prerequisites
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives. Key Responsibilities
- Comply with cleaning standards and Food Safety Guidelines.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Ensure strict adherence with West Wimmera Health Service Infection Prevention protocols.
- Communicate effectively with other employees within the facility.
