Cable Assembly Expert Peakhurst

Assembly on a broad range of bespoke harness designs, requiring a multitude of production techniques.

Main tasks include, interpreting engineering drawings, production of 1st off samples, soldering, crimping, machine operation and programming, training coworkers.

Ensure alignment with internal work instructions and customer documentation whilst meeting the necessary electrical design and quality standards.

Monitoring of job progress to ensure completion within allocated time and budget.

Provide production feedback and records to the Managing Director.

Troubleshoot production issues, manage shortages, and maintain consumables.

Implement and maintain a 5S system in the cable harness production area.

Operate production machinery and assist with preventative/corrective maintenance.

Ensure adherence to Q-TS operating procedures and process protocols.

Participate in toolbox meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Assist other production staff, ensuring efficiency and quality compliance.

Set up, test, and document test regimes for customer orders; train others as needed.

Assist in quoting feedback and capacity planning activities.

Other tasks as required by management.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $32.34
- $37.06 per hour

Education:

Graduate Certificate / Graduate Diploma (preferred)

Experience:

Cable Assembly : 2 years (required)
