About the role
We’re on the lookout for a reliable Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor machinery while ensuring strict adherence to food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation & Setup: Set up, calibrate, and operate flow wrap machinery efficiently to meet production plans. Quality Control & Inspection: Inspect finished products (weight, seal integrity, appearance) and verify print clarity/legibility on film. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform basic maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshoot jams to minimize downtime. Production Monitoring & Recording: Monitor performance for optimal speed, ensure proper product loading, and accurately record production data (batches, film print, operating times). Workflow Coordination & Safety: Coordinate with packing staff to keep pace with the machine, ensure smooth production flow, and maintain safety/cleaning standards. Material Management: Monitor and report stock levels of film and consumables to avoid interruptions
What We’re Looking For Previous machine operating experience in food manufacturing or FMCG is usually required (1–3 years). Understanding of production machinery, and ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues. Ability to work with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced environment.
