About the Business

We, 18 Grams Cafe (One Six Triple Eight Pty Ltd), are a well-established cafe located in Hurstville. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Full‑Time Cook to join our team. About the Role

You will work closely with the Chef to maintain high culinary standards and ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to consistent standards.

· Prepare dishes to meet customers’ special dietary needs safely.

· Follow directions from the chef and work cooperatively with the kitchen team.

· Prepare ingredients and maintain freshness and quality before and during cooking.

· Operate and monitor cooking equipment safely and correctly.

· Plate and present dishes accurately and consistently.

· Store food correctly, label items, rotate stock and minimise waste.

· Assist with training junior staff in basic kitchen tasks as directed.

· Use kitchen tools and equipment safely and maintain them in valuable condition.

· Comply with all food safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements.

About You:

· Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery

· At least 2year of experience as a Cook in a similar setting.

· Strong teamwork skills with a cooperative and reliable work ethic.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a rapid‑paced workplace to consistently deliver high quality dishes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
