What does the job look like?
This role is responsible for leading end-to-end distribution centre operations, ensuring all receiving, storage, picking and dispatch activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with customer expectations. You will drive operational performance, commercial outcomes and continuous improvement across the site while building strong customer and stakeholder relationships. Key areas:
- Deliver efficient and cost-effective outcomes through effective workforce planning and resource utilisation
- Drive continuous improvement through development and review of warehouse processes and procedures
- Lead warehouse operations across receiving, storage, picking and dispatch to meet safety, quality and customer expectations
- Manage P&L; performance and lead initiatives to maximise profitability and meet budget targets
- Build and maintain strong customer partnerships, ensuring high levels of service delivery and engagement
- Create and maintain a protected working environment, ensuring compliance with WHS, quality and food safety standards Are you the one?
You are an experienced logistics leader with a strong background in distribution centre operations and a proven ability to drive operational and commercial performance. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are confident leading teams, managing stakeholders and delivering continuous improvement outcomes. You can demonstrate:
- Experience in third-party logistics or distribution centre operations
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and developing capability across leaders
- Strong track record managing operational and financial performance, including P&L; accountability
- Knowledge of workplace legislation, WHS requirements and chain of responsibility obligations
- Experience working directly with customers and reporting on operational performance
- Relevant qualifications in logistics or business (desirable) and a valid driver's licence What's in it for me?
