- Lead the planning, prioritisation, and execution of ICT sustainment activities using Agile methodologies (sprints/Kanban)
- Monitor and manage secure systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
- Ensure compliance with Authority to Operate (ATO), including timely deployment of security patches and updates
- Oversee incident, problem, and change management in line with ITIL frameworks and SLAs
- Deliver monthly reporting on operational performance and sustainment activities
- Manage system capacity, licensing, and support contracts to maintain compliance
- Collaborate with architecture, delivery, and cross-functional teams to support system upgrades and transitions
- Provide SME guidance to system administrators and mentor junior team members
- Support disaster recovery planning and testing activities
- Engage with vendors and service providers to ensure service quality and compliance You will bring:
- Proven experience managing complex ICT systems in classified or highly regulated environments
- Strong understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management practices
- Experience working with Agile delivery frameworks (Kanban/Scrum)
- Knowledge of defence security frameworks (ISM, PSPF, DSPF, Essential 8)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and drive outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable
- Experience configuring ICT systems in line with defence standards and architectural blueprints
- Background working on defence programs or within secure government environments About you: We’re seeking an experienced ICT Team Lead, to manage and sustain secure, classified support systems within a complex defence setting.
This role is responsible for ensuring system performance, security compliance, and service delivery excellence across highly regulated environments, with a strong focus on SLA adherence, ATO compliance, and continuous operational improvement. Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
