**The Opportunity** The Field Testing Officer is directly responsible for the provision of field testing services associated with the effective design, construction, maintenance and operation of the State’s transport assets.
Duties involve providing testing services to support the directorate’s operations, programs, projects, systems and/or services that may include assessing, commissioning and installing technical equipment and/or the diagnosis and repair of technical faults.
The Field Testing Officer must comply with the Department’s legislative Work, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
**About You**
You will possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills which enables you to work within a small team and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
**Qualifications/Licences**
For appointment at the **TGO3** classification level, a relevant Diploma or Advanced Diploma or recognised qualification in construction/engineering technology or survey technology is essential.

- A current Driver’s Licence is essential.
- Medium Rigid Driver’s Licence (MR) is desirable.
- Work Zone Traffic Management (RIIWHS205D & RIIWHS302D) is desirable.
- Work Health and Safety Construction Induction (White Card) is desirable.
**Special Conditions** A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
**Tenure of Vacancy** Temporary appointment up to 12 months.
**Remuneration** OPS5
- $82,090 to $87,758 pa + superannuation. TGO3
- $84,159 to $88,852 pa + superannuation.
