We are now looking to recruit a Chef to join our dedicated and professional team on a full time and permanent basis. Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and oversee the preparation and cooking of food at The Boatdeck Cafe, ensuring high-quality meals, efficient kitchen operations, and compliance with food safety standards. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items to a high standard
- Assist in menu planning and creating daily specials
- Monitor food quality, presentation, cooking times, and portion control
- Supervise and support kitchen staff in daily operations
- Train junior kitchen staff on food preparation and cooking procedures
- Coordinate with management and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory levels
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety regulations Qualifications
- AQF Associate Degree
- Advanced Diploma or Diploma Experience
- At least three years of relevant experience. Skills and Attributes
