• Challenging and Rewarding Role ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking for a fulltime Mechanical Engineer to join our Manufacturing Team in Ingleburn, Moorlands. In this role, you will be involved in the design, development, and support of crane and lifting equipment systems, working closely with both the workshop and site teams. Duties will include but not limited to :
- Ensure generation of Engineering design deliverables
- Practice a First-Time-Right (FTR) approach for preparation of design deliverables
- Lead & own the process of preparation of design deliverables with consideration for applicable Codes & Standards
- Calculations at quotation and post award stage for cranes, portals, semi portals, structures and any other structural requirements
- Check third party calculations
- Develop and improve EC structural design capacity
- Achieve required accreditations to legally operate in all states of Australia
- Deal with Work Protected and DMP and develop repeatable procedures to minimise congestion with documentation.
- Reduce base manufacturing costs ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer (preferably in the Cranes Industry, Heavy industry, manufacturing, or lifting equipment)
- Must have specific crane industry experience within the 5 year minimum experience requirement
- Strong understanding and practical interpretation of AS1418, AS4100, AS3990 and AS1554 as a minimum.
- Must have Australian work authorisation at the time of application ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
