Food and Beverage Manager -Rockfort Group Pty Ltd t/a Ottimo House
**The Position**
As the food and beverage manager you will already have the ability and experience to create amazing function experiences. You will monitor staff as they conduct various types of Food & Beverage service for a wide variety of events, while ensuring brand standards are met to the highest quality.
Reporting to the Venue manager, you will enjoy working as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.
This role will suit anyone who is looking to grow into a management role and would like to challenge themselves in a unique and diverse role.
**Position**: Full Time
**Salary**: $70,000
- $75,000 p.a.

**Key Duties**
- To liaise with clients during an event to ensure that all requests and needs are carried out to the client’s satisfaction
- To assist in running events, ensuring all guests receive their requirements in a timely manner.
- To ensure that all operational team members meet and exceed our guests’ expectations.
- The service of food and beverages at all events and functions including Weddings, buffets, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, cocktail parties, morning and afternoon teas and any other functions which occur.
- The ability to engage with our guests through conversation and illicit feedback to assist in service recovery
- Providing suggestions to the Chef to prepare and improve the menu
- Effectively utilizes all training programs from new employee orientation up to and including management training classes
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
- Delight guests with extraordinary service by giving a little more of your best with every service you provide
- Interpret floor plans and Event Orders and direct team members and assist in placing furniture in position according to function type and number of guests.
- Direct and assist set up of rooms according to Event Orders and function requirements including tables, chairs, table settings, buffets, coffee stations, water stations.
- Direct and assist placing of dance floors and stages according to directions given and/or floor plans
- Ensure strict time constraints for set ups are met
- Maximises financial performance and profit.
- Check set ups and cleanliness prior to the commencement of functions to ensure function rooms meet and exceed requirements as per Event Orders
**Who we’re looking for**:
- Minimum 3-year Food and Beverage Manager or restaurant manager level experience in a comparable environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong administrative skills, preferably with bookings systems experience
- Motivated to learn recent skills and techniques
- Smart and tidy, in appearance
- Positive and willing to participate on a team and work with a winning attitude
- Flexible, reliable, and responsive to a range of work situations
- Prepared to manage a variety of customer types, inquiries, and complaints
- Previous food hygiene experience
- Excellent communication skills
- the ability to engage with our guests through conversation
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and mixing of drinks
- Will have great attention to detail with an excellent ability to multi-task and prioritise
Pay: $70,000.00
