Road Works Plant Operator / HC Truck Driver - Glen Innes

We are currently seeking an experienced Plant Operator with HC Truck Driving experience to join a road construction crew based from Glen Innes. Plant being operated will vary and include skid steer, excavator, loaders, rollers, and water cart. This role will involve working full time hours for an initial period of 6 months, with genuine potential of further work available for positive quality workers. An attractive hourly pay rate is being offered, including overtime penalty rates and allowances for additional hours of work. Regular travel and camp work is required – accommodation is provided and applicable allowances paid to cover out‑of‑pocket expenses. Duties will include driving HC trucks around the job site for the movement of materials, loading trucks, towing trailers, operating the water cart and plant, as well as manual labouring with the works crew. Successful applicants will need:
- Current WHS White Card – essential
- Worker on Foot card (or willingness to obtain)
- Plant operating skills and hours – loader, excavator, skid steer
- Previous experience with road construction/maintenance or civil construction sites will be highly regarded
- Fit for manual work tasks as required
- Willingness to undertake police record check
- Fit for physically demanding work, and a genuine team player
