Description Are you a qualified plumber or do you have experience in the water industry operations? Already established in your career or only completed training? Location Inverell, New South Wales Full‑time About the Team The Water Services team at Council welcomes expressions of interest from anyone qualified as a plumber or with experience in the water and wastewater industry. The roles cover a wide variety of tasks, including:
- Day‑to‑day maintenance and repairs of the water reticulation networks within Inverell, Ashford and Yetman.
- Liaising with fitters on the maintenance and repair of water infrastructure such as pumps and tanks.
- Inspections of water infrastructure across the Shire, including at water treatment, storage and distribution assets.
- Participation in an on‑call roster on a rotating basis, and occasionally carrying out breakdown repairs while on‑call or after hours. Remuneration will vary by role and duties and will include an Adverse Working Conditions allowance. Overtime and other allowances are payable where applicable. Benefits

- Plumbing trade qualification.
- Trade Certificate as Fitter or other related trade, or suitable experience.
- Truck licence of Class MR or higher.
- National Licence to perform High Risk Work for Dogging (DG).
- Enter and work in confined spaces unit of competency completed in the last two (2) years.
- Work safely at heights unit of competency completed in the last two (2) years.
- SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card').
- SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Traffic Controller (TCR) accreditation.
