About the team The Water Services team at Council is currently welcoming expressions of interest from anyone who is qualified as a plumber or within the water and wastewater industry, and we have roles that cover a wide variety of tasks, including:
- Day to day maintenance and repairs of the water reticulation networks within Inverell, Ashford and Yetman.
- Liaising with our fitters on the maintenance and repair of water infrastructure such as pumps and tanks.
- Inspections of water infrastructure across the Shire, including at our water treatment, storage and distribution assets.
- Participation in an on-call roster on a rotating basis, and occasionally carrying out breakdown repairs while on-call or after hours. Remuneration shall vary depending on the role and duties, but shall be inclusive of Adverse Working Conditions allowance and be commensurate with qualifications and experience. - Plumbing trade qualification
- Trade Certificate as Fitter or other related trade, or suitable experience.
- A truck licence of Class MR or higher.
- National Licence to perform High Risk Work for Dogging (DG)
- Enter and work in confined spaces unit of competency completed in the last two (2) years.
- Work safely at heights unit of competency completed in the last two (2) years.
- SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card').
- SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Traffic Controller (TCR) accreditation.
