Senior Brief Intervention Therapist (Ipswich)

Our centre offers assessment, triage, warm referrals, and immediate support for people with varying levels of need, including those in crisis. We're seeking a Senior Brief Intervention Therapist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions tailored to individual mental health and psychosocial needs. Grounded in recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, strength-based, and motivational interviewing frameworks, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while also contributing to clinical leadership and supervision. About You
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based brief interventions, such as CBT, DBT, ACT, IPT, and Solution-Focused Therapy tailored to individuals with complex presentations.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk evaluations, and facilitate effective group interventions for consumers with significant psychosocial challenges.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated, holistic support.
- Provide guidance and supervision to students, contributing to learning and elevating clinical practice across the team.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, maintaining accurate documentation, protecting confidentiality, and upholding all governance, reporting, and risk-management requirements.

- Tertiary qualification in health, counselling, behavioural sciences, or a related field, with postgraduate mental health qualifications and professional registration (AHPRA, AASW, PACFA, or ACA) highly regarded.
- Current Driver Licence
- Current Blue Card
- Current National Police Check
- Knowledge of the Australian mental health system, relevant legislation, and ethical frameworks, with well-established networks in local support services.
