Exciting new growth opportunity for an experienced Accountant in Ipswich Your new company A well‑established, US‑owned organisation with a robust Australian presence is seeking an experienced Accountant to support its local finance operations. This is a rare opportunity to join a global business while enjoying genuine flexibility — including the option to work 25–30 hours per week across 5 days, or full‑time, depending on your preference. The business promotes work–life balance, offering hybrid working (1–2 days WFH per week) and convenient onsite car parking.

Your new role Reporting to the local Financial Controller and collaborating closely with US‑based finance teams, you will manage end‑to‑end accounting activities for the Australian business. The role offers broad exposure across reporting, compliance and stakeholder engagement. A key component of the position is involvement in a systems transition from Xero to SAP, providing hands‑on experience with a major ERP implementation within a stable, well‑supported environment. Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly financial and management reports
- Cashflow reporting and analysis for local leadership
- Review, investigation and resolution of financial variances
- Oversight of order entry and customer invoicing
- Maintenance of internal controls and audit support
- Liaison with external accountants on tax and statutory requirements
- Active involvement in the Xero to SAP system transition
- Ongoing focus on process improvement and cost control
- Collaboration with corporate finance stakeholders in the US What you'll need to succeed


- CPA or CA qualified (ideal but not essential)
- At least 5 years’ experience in accounting or financial reporting roles
- Strong month‑end, reconciliation and compliance capability
- Experience with Xero and/or SAP highly regarded
- Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working autonomously in a local office while engaging globally What you'll get in return
