- Mental health resources and lifestyle discounts About Amberley Health Centre Amberley Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Amberley — the largest Air Force base in Australia, just 50 minutes from Brisbane. The centre delivers healthcare services to over 6,500 RAAF members and includes primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, and mental health care. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). What you’ll do
- Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members
- Conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care.
- Undertaking risk assessments, crisis interventions, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical workplace where patient wellness is paramount
- Management of patient records What you bring
- Unrestricted AHPRA General registration as a Psychologist with PsvBA clinical endorsement
- Minimum two years’ Post Graduate experience within last five years in mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting
- Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
- Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
