Production Supervisor (Bundamba)

About the role We're looking for an enthusiastic Production Supervisor who has a view toward long-term growth within the company. The Production Supervisor role is an integral part of our manufacturing, responsible for managing the production team and carrying out various tasks to ensure our range of engineered products is built to a high standard of completion. This is a diverse and challenging role suited to applicants who enjoy working on a wide variety of equipment. The successful applicant will have an appropriate level of mechanical knowledge and ability. Prior experience in a similar role would be highly regarded. Training and support will be offered to the successful candidate. Key Responsibilities
- Ability to lead by example and drive positive culture.
- Coordinate the production operations with Engineering, Parts, and Sales departments to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Supervise staff to ensure maximum efficiencies and performance.
- Coordinate with procurement on work in process, inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods to support production schedules.
- Provide leadership and guidance to production staff, fostering a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and collaboration along with building and maintaining a positive culture.
- Enhance performance according to Quality Assurance and operating standards.
- Make sure we deliver on time as promised.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working setting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. About you You have:
- A positive attitude and self-drive/motivation/enthusiasm.
- An eye for detail and are highly organized.
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Excellent scheduling abilities – this is a MUST HAVE along with the ability to manage an agile team in a dynamic work environment.
- Be able to bring resolutions to any potential problem to management.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a workshop, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in workshop, fabrication, or manufacturing environment well regarded.
- Mechanical trade qualifications (heavy preferred)
- Knowledge of management practices, quality assurance and their implications.
- An intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
- Previous use of an ERP system (MYOB) highly regarded Advantageous Hydraulic experience (preferred although not essential) Experience with Air Compressors or Pressure Washers (preferred) The Benefits Competitive salary package + superannuation.
