LECTURER – ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (INSTRUMENTATION, CONTROL AND AUTOMATION) School of Engineering

Joondalup Campus Salary: $117,905 – $139,307 per annum (ALEVB) Employment type: Full-time, Ongoing About the Opportunity We are seeking a Lecturer in Instrumentation, Control & Automation Engineering to contribute to teaching, research, and industry engagement activities. Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate units in instrumentation, control & automation engineering.
- Contribute to curriculum development, accreditation processes, high‑school engagement activities, and academic administration.
- Conduct high‑quality research, seek competitive research funding, and supervise honours, postgraduate coursework, and HDR students.
- Develop and expand scholarly research and professional activities at national and international levels.
- Maintain and strengthen industry partnerships, fostering collaborations that drive impactful teaching, research, and innovation. Qualifications
- PhD and bachelor’s degree relevant to instrumentation, control & automation engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality teaching in relevant undergraduate and postgraduate units.
- Specialist knowledge of advanced PLC, RTU, DCS and SCADA systems (knowledge of Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure, SCADAPack and SCADA industrial automation solutions particularly desirable).
- Evidence of, or clear potential for, conducting research, publishing in reputable outlets, and securing competitive research funding.
- Experience or demonstrated capacity for supervising honours, postgraduate coursework, and HDR students.
- Commitment to curriculum development, accreditation processes, academic administration, and outreach activities.
- Industry engagement experience, with the ability to build and maintain productive partnerships that enhance teaching, research, and innovation.
