**About the role**
This position undertakes maintenance services for MercyCare buildings and facilities across the Perth region safely and with due regard to our clients and visitors. Working alongside specialist trades and contractors to assist in requirements the role engages with other onsite staff to ensure a smooth and effective maintenance service is delivered.
**About you**
You’ll have robust practical knowledge of maintenance and ideally hold a trade qualification, be an effective communicator to build good working relationships with other Mercy Care employees and be highly organised with an impeccable record for safety and safe work practices. Key experience will include:
- A qualification or apprenticeship in a recognised trade (such as electrical, plumbing or carpentry) is an advantage but not required
- Demonstrated experience of a similar role in maintenance or trade-based role essential
- Evidence of safety related training, such as a Construction White Card or specific safe working practices.
- Competent in the use of computers for monitoring and managing work task
- Demonstrated planning and time management skills including scheduling of own work
- Good communication, influencing and customer service skills
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with self-motivation and achievement of outcomes
- Resilience, perseverance and demonstrated experience in the effective management of multiple deadlines
- COVID and Influenza vaccinations are preferred but not required
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
