- $85K PA Dakabin Hotel Trading Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Chefs and Cooks to join our team and assist in the operation of our diverse range of high-volume food outlets. Dakabin Hotel Trading Pty Ltd is part of the Comiskey Group, renowned for iconic Queensland venues including Sandstone Point Hotel, Eatons Hill Hotel, and Dakabin Hotel. Located in the heart of Moreton Bay, the venue is being developed into one of the region’s premier hospitality and sporting destinations. The venue will feature a modern restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining areas, a premium sports bar with TAB facilities, gaming lounge, function spaces, and family-friendly entertainment areas. Designed as a vibrant community hub, the development will combine quality dining, entertainment, and sporting experiences in a contemporary setting. To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 1-2 years' experience in a similar position. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Must display excellent prep, cooking and plating skills
- Robust emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes
- Demonstrate a keen Interest in growing food trends and techniques
- Ability to contribute to menu planning, food cost estimation and food cost control
- Work with the management team on food preparation and seasonal menu planning
- Stock ordering and inventory control experience.
- Labour cost control and assist the owners with rostering
- A sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS
- Immaculate presentation and grooming
- Ability to handle large service numbers
- Above average customer care and service skills
- Must be able to train our junior team on cooking techniques and procedures
- Assist with staff hiring and training
- Experience planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering supplies
- Discuss customer requirements and request with the frost on house team. YOU MUST BE
- Available nights, weekends and school holidays.
