Processing Assistant (Food Industry) (Narangba)

Processing Assistant (Food Industry) Mandez Food Systems located in Narangba/Burpengary Qld is seeking a person to join our team. We are offering a Full time role (6 month probation) working 4 x 10 hour days Tuesday to Friday 6am-4pm. The successful person will require a high attention to detail, ability to accurately record data, capacity for frequent manual lifting/handling and a current forklift license. The Role Reporting to the Team Leader, you will have a varied role which includes, operating machinery, down packing dry ingredients, batching, stock rotation and paper work. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the production team including: batching, mixing, blending and packing to required weights (up to 25kgs).
- Down pack from bulk stock to required sizes, palletise completed products ready to ship.
- Inspect items for damage and use-by dates prior to dispatch to ensure quality of service.
- Unpack and receipt incoming stock and credits and store appropriately in accordance with company processes
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
- Stock control including rotation of stock liaising with Supervisor.
- Prioritise tasks by working closely with supervisor.
- Maintain safe and clean work workplace by keeping shelves and work area neat.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
- Any other miscellaneous duties as required. Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
- Forklift License is a requirement for this role
- Previous Experience in similar role – Food Ingredients or Additives will be well regarded together with an understanding of HACCP based Food Safety Protocols.
- Minimum 6 months experience in food industry or similar processing environment is required.
- Able to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.
- Accurate attention to detail, calculating and checking others work.
- Ability to accurately record data and understand instructions.
- Must be physically fit
