Description
For over 90 years, Fulton Hogan has been delivering high-quality infrastructure to improve the lives of people every day. Our 10,000+ team works in a range of environments, creating, connecting, and caring for communities across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. What’s on offer? Fulton Hogan's Narangba Department is looking for a Production Plant Operator to join our team. The appointee will be self‑motivated, have a keen interest in production and will work closely with the asphalt production team to promote and build our business. What we need from you? Previous experience in a fixed production facility with asphalt is highly desired but not crucial. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of industry related standards and specifications
- Ability to work within tight deadlines in a quality manner
- Carrying out fixed plant inspection check lists
- Maintaining a neat and tidy site and work area
- Initiating and communicating ideas that improve efficiency, reduce waste and costs
- Actively participate in preventative maintenance, toolbox discussions and safety meetings. Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Experience will be highly regarded; more importantly the successful candidate will be able to work well as part of a team, coordinating with other plant operators and workers to achieve production goals.
- Have knowledge of operating and maintaining fixed production equipment such as mixers, conveyors, and drying units.
- Experienced in operating a front‑end loader and bobcat.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Strict adherence to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a protected working environment.
- Familiarity with using computers and software for data entry and equipment monitoring.
- Keen to progress your career? We invest in our people's career development and provide pathways in the form of apprenticeships, traineeships, or certificate opportunities. If additional tickets and licenses are required, we can help with that too.
- Never worked in this industry before? We open new doors for people with transferable skills and experiences, helping them to thrive in the world of infrastructure construction. Where applicable, we provide training and support to help you succeed in the role.
- Looking to enhance your wellbeing? We offer benefits, including corporate health and fitness programs, health insurance discounts, personal banking support, a range of retailer discounts, and access to our Employee Assistance Program (including your immediate family). If you're not sure that you meet 100% of the selection criteria, that's okay; we would still like to hear from you and potentially discuss how your skills could be utilised at Fulton Hogan. #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/3rns99
