Our Family:
I'm a single mum of four curious, energetic kids. 12yo girl, 9yo boy, 7yo girl and 6yo boy. We love to watch sports, play outside, watch movies, arts and crafts, and exploring. My eldest daughter is very self sufficient, and while the others are quiet independent they thrive having someone to play and connect with
- you can always find at least one of them up a tree or bringing you cool things to look at I work fulltime and utilise OSHC provided at the kids school, but I'm looking for supplementary care
Your Duties:
At this stage I'm looking for occasional supplementary care, most likely weekend babysitting, and some afternoons or evenings as my work requires. If we find the right person, I'd be interested in increasing to more regular afternoon/evenings, or even mornings for school drop off. It would be dependent on what works for the caregiver as well.
Our Perfect Caregiver:
Our ideal caregiver would be someone who will take the time and care to get to know the kids as individuals. They each have their own interests, ways of communicating and connecting with others. We have had excellent success with some of the educators at OSHC who are young, energetic but also comfortable to set firm expectations and boundaries where necessary. My boys have ADHD which is pretty well managed, but getting to understand the way they think is essential for them to feel secure and supported by caregivers.
