Heavy Diesel Fitter - FIFO Mining Maintenance Pro (Karratha)

About the role MIB Projects is an indigenous owned, mining contracting company that is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team at BHP Newman, WA 6753. This is a 2:1, long term, casual position (FIFO from Perth) where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy mining equipment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our mining operations. You will receive super on all hours worked with a weekly pay cycle. Pay: $85 per hour + super What you'll be doing
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns and faults on a range of heavy mining equipment such as haul trucks, excavators and loaders
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety guidelines
- Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to identify and implement improvements
- Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken What we're looking for
- Relevant trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Fitter, ideally in a mining or heavy industry environment
- Minimum 3-4 years of Heavy Diesel Fitter experience
- Holder of a HR Licence
- Solid mechanical and diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and solution-focused approach
