Director Development and Regulatory Services

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Director Development and Regulatory Services will play a key role supporting the CEO to foster and lead a values‑driven organisational culture, underpinned by solid corporate strategy and robust performance framework.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic leadership and governance oversight across a diverse portfolio including planning and development, regulatory and compliance services, aviation operations, business and economic development, media and communications, and emergency management.

Lead and inspire a high performing team to deliver organisational objectives and high‑quality services, aligned with Council's strategic priorities, policies and legislative requirements.

Qualifications and experience:

Tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning, Environmental Health, Public Administration or related discipline.

Extensive senior management experience within local government or a similarly regulated public sector workplace.

Demonstrated experience leading high risk or safety critical operations.

Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.

Highly competitive remuneration package commensurate with the significance of the role. Negotiable cash component ranging from $228,000 to $246,983 aligned with qualifications and experience, with generous leave entitlements, up to 18% superannuation (conditional), company provided vehicle and housing, relocation and additional non‑cash advantages.
