Director Development and Regulatory Services The Shire of Ashburton serves communities across a vast region in the Pilbara, Western Australia. Economically, the Shire is vital to the Pilbara and Western Australia, with a gross regional product of $35.9 billion. Key industries include iron ore mining, oil and gas production and construction. - Create and deliver values-driven organisational culture, supported by robust strategy and performance framework.
- Provide strategic leadership and governance oversight across planning and development, regulatory and compliance services, aviation operations, business and economic development, media and communications, and emergency management.
- Lead and inspire a high performing team to deliver organisational objectives and high quality services in alignment with Council’s strategic priorities, policies and legislative requirements. Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning, Environmental Health, Public Administration or a related discipline.
- Extensive senior management experience within local government or a similarly regulated public sector setting.
- Demonstrated experience leading high risk or safety critical operations.
- Post graduate qualifications highly regarded. Remuneration A highly competitive remuneration package commensurate with the significance of the role is on offer. This will include a negotiable cash component ranging from $228,000 to $246,983 aligned with qualifications and experience, together with generous leave entitlements, up to 18% superannuation (conditional), company provided vehicle and housing, relocation and a suite of additional non cash benefits.
