Store/Warehouse Manager (Katoomba)

We service the Katoomba/ Leura area, Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Lower Blue Mountains and outer areas. About the Role This role seeks an ambitious leader, who will oversee the productive operation of our store/warehouse in Katoomba. It is a fulltime position that will see you managing and leading a hard working team in all aspects of receiving, dispatching, order processing and ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse. The role includes and comes with full responsibility for performance across warehousing, transport/delivery organisation, inventory, safety, cost management and people leadership. - Understanding , following and complying with company policies.
- Significant experience within warehousing, logistics and leadership roles
- Lead, supervise and support a small warehouse team
- Manage team performance, staffing levels and productivity targets.
- Coordinate day to day warehouse activities across ordering stock, picking, invoicing and delivery coordination.
- Keeping up to date with products and product knowledge
- Maintaining accurate stock control
- Identifying operational risks and implementing practical solutions
- Promoting strong safety culture and adherence to company procedures.
- Working with the owner to develop and grow the business
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations
- Serving customers and handling of goods in the warehouse
- Operating forklift at times to move stock and load customers vehicles
- All aspects of running an office from taking phone calls, enquiries, ordering stock, invoicing, goods receiving and more. About You
- Proven leadership experience within a warehouse management role
- Strong operational management capability
- Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Solid understanding of inventory management, warehousing and delivery/transport operations
- Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and well being
- Be able to resolve issues quickly and professionally
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional and competent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Forklift licence and/or other relevant certifications would be highly preferred and regarded
- Current drivers licence
- Must be physically able to perform tasks such as lifting and carrying 20kg+ bags/buckets and plasterboard What's on Offer
