The Prospect Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join our People and Places team in Lithgow, NSW. As the Executive Assistant to the Director People and Places, you will undertake the delivery of administrative and management services to the Director to support the efficient and effective operation of the Directorate and the optimal utilisation of the Directors time and resources. More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Providing confidential executive support including preparation of correspondence, reports, presentations, and other essential documentation, including project support and research.
- Co‑ordinate confidential matters requiring the Directors attention particularly the handling of sensitive material and coordinate responses to urgent requests for information or advice.
- Manage the Directors time commitments and diary to ensure urgent matters are prioritised and make the most efficient use of resources.
- Work closely with the Director in prioritising and filtering information requests, drawing attention to urgent matters which require immediate attention and referring operational matters to other staff as appropriate to enable the most effective use of time available.
- Source, format, collate all necessary documentation for meetings and engagement with staff and stakeholders, including preparation of agendas and taking of minutes.
- Develop and maintain liaison relationships with key internal and external stakeholders by providing positive and efficient customer service. About you The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Relevant industry experience in assisting management and teams in administration and organisation.
- Cert III Business Administration or relevant qualification and/or equivalent professional experience.
- Hold a current Class “C” NSW Driver’s Licence.
- Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
- Comprehensive MS Office platform skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult people. Salary and Benefits
- Between $64,348.44 and $70,705.44 , commensurate with your skills, qualifications and experience.
- Permanent, Full‑time, 35 hours per week.
