Process Engineer (Lithgow)

Role Overview Portland Aluminium is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join its Technical team in a permanent role on a family-friendly Monday–Friday roster. The role focuses on monitoring process variables, driving improvements, leading investigations, and enhancing plant operations, efficiency and product quality within the assigned area. Responsibilities
- Monitor process variables and ensure compliance with operational goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead investigations into process anomalies
- Enhance plant operations, efficiency and product quality
- Secure capital investment by developing and updating production upgrade and cost reduction plans
- Improve smelter efficiency through standard methodologies and daily management practices
- Support production growth and technical improvements through process problem‑solving and plant trials Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Experience in process plant operations
- Strong communication skills across all business levels
- Ability to develop and maintain effective process management systems
- Commitment to environmental, health and safety standards
