What you'll be doing To provide an effective and efficient Social Work service that addresses the psychosocial aspects of care for patient, as identified. To provide intervention including support, education, and resources to people in the context of their bio-psycho-social situation, to assist in dealing with health events. The Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service (SUPPS) Social Worker will provide a continuum of care to pregnant women and their children during the antenatal and postnatal periods and will occur within inpatient/outpatient/community/ home settings. The position will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist. The Social Worker will provide specialist counselling and case management support services for clients who use drugs or alcohol and are pregnant or responsible for parenting children under the age of two years old.
