Position Overview

Casual Targeted Care Package Support Worker based in Dandenong, VIC. You will support young people in out‑of‑home care, including independent homes and kinship arrangements.

Responsibilities

Ensure young people’s rights and interests are protected at all times.

Demonstrate respect and empathy at all times.

Collaborate with the Key Worker to identify needs and assist in implementing plans for each young person.

Maintain a high standard of supportive and therapeutic care that meets physical, emotional and social needs, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

Act as an effective role model in relationships, conflict resolution, goal setting and task completion.

Work a variety of shifts, including after‑hours and weekends.

Qualifications

Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (or relevant recognised qualification).

Current level 2 first aid (including CPR).

Current Victorian driver’s licence.

Experience in residential and community services, and preferably with young people in out‑of‑home care.

Demonstrated ability to work with youth who have experienced trauma or behavioural difficulties (desirable).
