**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Oversee the daily operations of the mine,**ensuring safe and efficient production in line with Mine Safety and Inspection requirements.
- **Lead and manage personnel and equipment**to optimise production activities and meet operational targets.
- **Effectively allocate tasks and manage workloads**within the production team to achieve development goals and maintain project timelines.
- **Ensure full compliance with the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations,**fostering a strong safety culture and proactive risk management.

**About You**:

- **5+ years of production experience** in an open-cut coal mining operation, with a strong understanding of site operations and efficiencies.
- **2+ years of supervisory experience** in an open-cut coal mining environment, demonstrating effective leadership and team management.
- **In-depth knowledge of QLD Coal Mining legislation**, ensuring compliance and best practices in safety and operations.
- **Current C Class Driver’s Licence**.
- **A proven ability to motivate teams, drive performance, and achieve business targets** in a dynamic mining environment.
- S1,2,3 and G2 Certificate.

**Meandu Mine**

BUMA Australia provides a total mine service to Stanwell Corporation’s Meandu Mine to deliver coal to the adjacent Tarong power station. We are responsible for both managing and operating the mine.

Services provided include planning, drilling, overburden removal, coal mining, coal processing, rehabilitation, and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant. The project uses a combination of dragline and truck-and shovel operations. Meandu Mine currently has five working pits, with sufficient coal to fuel the stations until at least 2037.
