We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Grounds Officer who is committed to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facility through proactive maintenance and repair work.

Location: Orana Retirement Living, Kingaroy

Employment Type: Part-time 2 days per week, 8am-4pm (30 hrs fortnight)

Remuneration: $30.20
- $31.11/hour

About The Role:

In this hands‑on role, you’ll manage the day‑to‑day maintenance of buildings, gardens, and grounds, ensuring everything is safe, tidy, and well‑kept.

General maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and common areas

Performing scheduled preventative maintenance

Identifying and reporting current risks while working to minimise existing ones

Undertaking administrative tasks related to maintenance operations

Managing external contractors and minor building projects

Using equipment and materials safely and responsibly

Your work will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors

Gardening experience essential

About You:

Experience in commercial maintenance and groundskeeping within an aged care setting or a similar environment

Robust problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to follow safety procedures and preventative maintenance schedules

A team player with a proactive attitude, proven ability to demonstrate a customer service focus

Valid Police Check or NDIS clearance and Queensland Driver’s Licence
