Server / Bartender –Italian Restaurant (Charlestown)

About the Role We’re looking for an energetic and personable Server / Bartender to join our friendly, professional team at our Charlestown location. This is a dual role combining floor service and bar work, offering variety and the opportunity to build your skills across multiple areas of the venue. You’ll play a key part in delivering a welcoming dining experience while preparing and serving beverages with consistency and care. Dinner service is our busiest period, so you’ll need to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working closely with both floor and bar teams. Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, attentive service and build rapport with guests
- Take orders accurately and deliver food and beverages efficiently
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and coffee (where applicable)
- Maintain solid knowledge of the menu, including Italian dishes, wines, and specials
- Assist guests with recommendations and upselling where appropriate
- Set up and maintain clean, organised bar and dining areas
- Handle POS transactions accurately
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and floor staff to ensure smooth service
- Follow RSA, hygiene, and workplace safety standards Skills & Experience
- At least 1 years’ experience in hospitality (server, bartender, barista, or similar)
- Confidence in both floor service and basic bartending
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in Italian food, wine, and hospitality culture
- Availability to work evenings and weekends, especially Friday and Saturday nights
- Current RSA certificate (or willingness to obtain before starting) What We Offer
