Maintenance & Grounds Officer – Retirement Living Location: Orana Retirement Living, Kingaroy – QLD Employment Type: Part-time 2 days per week, 8am-4pm (30 hrs fortnight) Remuneration: $30.20 – $31.11 per hour About the role In this hands‑on role you’ll manage the day‑to‑day maintenance of buildings, gardens and grounds, ensuring everything is safe, tidy and well‑kept. Key responsibilities
- General maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens and common areas
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
- Identify and report new risks and work to minimise existing ones
- Undertake administrative tasks related to maintenance operations
- Manage external contractors and minor building projects
- Use equipment and materials safely and responsibly
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors
- Gardening experience is essential About you
- Experience in commercial maintenance and groundskeeping within an aged‑care setting or similar environment
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow safety procedures and preventive maintenance schedules
- A team player with a proactive attitude and a customer‑service focus
- Valid Police Check or NDIS clearance and Queensland driver’s licence Benefits
