Maintenance Supervisor (Kingaroy)

We are excited to launch recruitment for a Maintenance Workshop Supervisor to join our newest project at Meandu Mine near Kingaroy, Queensland. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role from the ground up, helping establish a protected, high-performing maintenance culture while supporting the delivery of a major mining operation. About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the workshop team to ensure safe, efficient and reliable maintenance outcomes across the fleet. You will provide hands-on leadership, technical guidance and support to tradespeople and maintenance personnel while driving compliance, productivity and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a residential role, operating on a lifestyle 4/5, 5/4, 5/5 rotating dayshift and night shift roster. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate workshop maintenance activities across heavy mining equipment and ancillary fleet
- Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with site procedures and statutory requirements
- Allocate resources and labour to achieve planned maintenance schedules and breakdown response targets
- Support and mentor tradespeople, apprentices and leading hands within the team
- Work collaboratively with operations and planning teams to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability
- Ensure accurate maintenance reporting, documentation and system updates
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency and cost management What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in a maintenance supervisory role within the mining industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Trade qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline
- Sound knowledge of heavy mobile equipment maintenance practices
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Commitment to safety leadership and fostering positive team culture
- Experience using maintenance management systems such as SAP is highly regarded Why Join Golding?
