Drafting Manager (Charlestown)

de Witt Consulting is a well-established and respected Surveying, Town Planning, Ecology and Project Management company, with offices located in Newcastle, the Central Coast and the Mid-Western region. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Drafting Manager to lead and oversee our drafting operations across the business. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced survey draftsperson looking to step into a leadership role, or an established drafting leader seeking a long-term opportunity within a growing multidisciplinary consultancy. Our business undertakes a wide range of projects across multiple disciplines including construction, engineering, cadastral, DTM, laser scanning and drone surveys. About the Role The Drafting Manager will oversee the drafting function of the business, leading our drafting team while supporting the effective delivery of projects across multiple offices and disciplines. The role will involve both technical drafting oversight and team leadership responsibilities, ensuring quality, delivery, resource management, workflow coordination and continuous improvement across drafting operations. Undertaking drafting tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D associated with survey projects. About You The successful applicant will ideally possess:
- Strong experience within the surveying and drafting industry
- Advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D capability
- Leadership or team coordination experience
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- The ability to manage workflows, priorities and deadlines across multiple projects Experience or interest in Sewer and Water Design, Laser Scanning and 3D Modelling would be highly regarded.
