* This vacancy is for temporary department leave relief for an initial period of up to 26 weeks for 20hrs per week. The hours and period of employment may change according to the leave requirements. There is also the possibility of an extension at same / reduced hours. Start Date is to be confirmed pending appointment.

Remuneration as a Senior Specialist will be considered and is subject to CE Approval. We welcome trainees who will attain Fellowship within the Clinical Year to apply and applicants will be considered. About the role Tweed Valley Hospital is seeking a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care. The successful applicant will also participate in quality improvement activities as well as providing training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice. - Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the role delineation of the service
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement
