Chef / Short Order Cook – Alfie’s Cabarita Beach (NSW 2488) Alfie’s is a fun, quick-paced café located in the heart of Cabarita Beach – a local favourite for great coffee, quality food, and a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and holidaymakers. We’re on the lookout for an experienced Chef or Short Order Cook to help run our kitchen and deliver consistently high-quality meals. About the Role This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a busy café environment and can confidently run a kitchen solo during service. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards across food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations. What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working in a café or similar fast-paced kitchen
- Ability to work independently under pressure
- Strong focus on quality, consistency, and presentation
- Takes pride in their work and maintains a clean, organised kitchen

- Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation Quality Control
- Ensure all dishes meet Alfie’s standards
- Maintain strong attention to detail across every service Inventory Management
- Manage stock ordering, storage, and rotation
- Minimise waste and maintain food cost control Health & Safety Compliance
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
