We are looking for an experienced and passionate **Swim School Manager** to join our team and take our operations to the next level.
**Job Overview**: As a Swim School Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the swim school. You’ll lead, train, and mentor a team of swim instructors, manage the assessment and progression of students, ensure the safe operation and maintenance of the pool facilities, and ensure all aspects of our swim school run smoothly. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a balance of customer service, staff management, and operational oversight. Additionally, you’ll work closely with management to ensure we’re hitting key performance indicators (KPIs) and driving the growth of the swim school.
**Key Responsibilities**: **Staff Management & Training**:
- Supervise and lead a team of swim instructors and support staff, ensuring high standards of teaching and customer service.
- Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance reviews to swim instructors, fostering continuous improvement.
- Organise and deliver ongoing training programs for staff to ensure consistency in teaching methods and safety standards.
**Pool Plant & Facility Management**:
- Ensure the pool and school facilities are clean, safe, and compliant with all safety regulations.
- Oversee daily pool operations, including water quality checks, temperature regulation, and pool equipment maintenance.
- Work closely with the management team to address any operational issues promptly.
**Safety Protocols & Compliance**:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all staff adhere to the company’s safety guidelines, including emergency procedures.
- Regularly review and update safety procedures, conduct safety drills, and monitor compliance.
**Administrative & Financial Support**:
- Assist in the tracking of attendance, enrollments, and revenue-related data.
- Support management with reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and help identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that all administrative tasks, such as staff rosters and student records, are up to date and accurately maintained.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across both locations, including managing inventory, handling staff issues, and coordinating special events or promotions.
**Customer Experience & Relations**:
- Handle customer enquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely and professional manner.
- Build strong relationships with parents and students to create a positive and welcoming setting.
- Work closely with parents to ensure a positive experience and handle any questions or concerns related to their child’s progress.
**What We're Looking For**:
- A passion for swim education and creating a positive and safe learning experience for children and families.
- Proven experience in managing a swim school, aquatic center, or similar facility, with strong knowledge of pool plant operations, safety protocols, and swim instruction.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, including pool maintenance and child safeguarding.
- Flexibility to work across both venues, including occasional weekends and evenings as required.
- Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
- Working With Children Check
- Current Swim Teaching Certificate
- Robust problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
